Fascinating Fascinators and their origin Idly perusing a collection of Victorian fashion magazines by 'Weldon & Company' I came accross the recently much used word Fascinator, which in its description simply says. Light headscarf of crochet or lace. It seems Queen Victoria favoured the beautiful circular lace head cover, with trailing ribbons or lace hanging neatly to cover the ears, and we all thought it was just a pretty doily! Gradualy trimmings of flowers, feathers & beads were added, bringing it to our present day froth of fun which certainly cheers the heart. Victorian style fascinator from 'Weldon & Company' magazineIsn't it fascinating that our new Royal lady has coolly stole this lovely fashion idea to give it new life. God bless her.
